Our therapeutic ultrasound machine is a physical therapy tool used to support the recovery process.

How it is used
A handpiece is moved over the area with a little gel. It is painless, and most people feel nothing more than mild warmth.
What we do
When it helps
We use it for inflamed soft tissue, alongside manual care and exercise. Like the other tools here, it supports the plan rather than being the plan.

Does it hurt?
No. You may feel slight warmth, nothing more.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes, as part of a longer visit.
Is it used on its own?
No. It is combined with manual care and rehabilitation exercises.
